About The Position

As a Systems Engineer supporting a major Program of Record, you will be part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for systems engineering, integration, verification planning, and test execution for a one-of-a-kind, large-scale mechanical system delivering enhanced mission capability to the customer. This role directly supports Mechanical Hardware Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and focuses on verification planning and test of deliverable mechanical components.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities for complex, integrated engineering systems
  • Experience with requirements development, management, and verification
  • Experience supporting system or subsystem verification and test planning
  • Experience with mechanical systems or hardware-centric programs
  • MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) – MagicDraw strongly preferred
  • Requirements management tools and methodologies
  • System modeling tools and techniques
  • Verification and validation (V&V) planning for mechanical or hardware-intensive systems
  • Integrated system test planning and execution

Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities across integration, verification, and test for a complex maritime/strategic system
  • Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring traceability through verification
  • Create system verification plans, procedures, and test documentation for mechanical components
  • Support and execute large-scale integrated system testing
  • Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and cross-disciplinary IPTs to ensure requirements compliance and mission success
  • Utilize MBSE and requirements management tools to support system modeling and verification activities
