Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Systems Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Design a complete and complex framework, system or product. Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses. Enhance existing test software for system level validation and verification of existing/new FPGAs and SOCs. Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Position requires One (1) year of experience in the following: C, C++, or Python;
  • Firmware and embedded driver development;
  • SoC or CPU architecture;
  • Data structures and multi-threading;
  • Development, debug, and characterization of the following AMS HSIO IP content: UFS PHY, MIPI CSI PHY, and MIPI DSI PHY;
  • Development, debug, and characterization of the following AMS HSIO IP content: PCIE, SATA, USB3, USB2, Display Port, Gigabit Ethernet; and
  • Continuous integration.
