The Sr System Verification and Validation Engineer at Medtronic plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of software systems that support the Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) algorithm. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead design verification efforts, develop and execute test plans, and ensure compliance with quality regulations. The engineer will contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions that improve the lives of people with diabetes.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams across a global setting.
  • Act as a design verification representative to ensure projects comply with Quality System Regulations and GxPs.
  • Conduct and moderate Test Plan Reviews, Test Protocol Reviews, Requirements Reviews, and Design Reviews.
  • Develop and execute system-level test plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Ensure the system meets technical and functional requirements.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution with various teams.
  • Document, track, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Review technologies and their interactions to establish system performance requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support development and testing strategies.
  • Support the completion of project milestones.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with System Integration Testing or Simulated Use Testing with BLE solutions and mobile applications.
  • Experience with Integrated Systems comprising Embedded Software, Application Software, and Electro Mechanical Control Systems.
  • Experience with System and Software Configuration Management.
  • Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with requirements reviews and management using tools like DOORs and/or PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with defect tracking and change management using tools like JIRA.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
