Come join us at Con Edison! We're seeking a highly motivated Senior System Analyst for our IT BSD Shared Services Build team. You'll manage enterprise-wide systems like The Employee Hub (Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud) and Oracle EBS Suite. We're rolling out new HCM & Talent Modules in 2025-2026. Responsible for both front end and backend development tasks, including database tasks.
Contributes across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to native apps and demonstrates leadership in product quality, technical excellence, and engineering practices.
This individual will be well versed with programming languages that are required for client (user) side development, as well as integration approaches and technologies to bridge contemporary front-end implementations with legacy backend systems.
Lead, Design, code and architect complex applications and demonstrate a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and system design.
Writes programming specifications with guidance, based on systems design for small to medium change.
Makes recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in business or technology environment.
Collaborate with other software engineers and developers, on the various layers of infrastructure for our applications.
Ensure responsiveness of applications and maintain quality.
Collaborate with all software engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new features.
Effectively develop, manage, and strengthen vendor relationships to align vendor products and services with business and IT objectives.
May be responsible for overseeing consultants work (developers and testers, and System Integrator employees).
Mentor and develop junior team members with technical proficiency.
Participates in disaster recovery drills.
Manages incidents including timely and relevant communication. Triage problems, remediate, analyze root cause, and implement incident prevention using techniques such as Human Performance Improvement.
Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Participates in the Companys emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
Associate's Degree and 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
At least three (3+) years of hands on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and (Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft T-SQL).
Experience building and debugging an application at: front end, back end, database.
Hands on experience working with and supporting REST APIs.
Strong hands on experience with application-based security best practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth, SAML, token-based authentication).
Hands on experience with engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications and security.
Ability to lead a team, coach and mentor developers on the team to drive delivery.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders in non-tech language.
Excellent communication skills with strong ability to influence senior executives on technology decisions.
Capable of working independently or with a team.
Must be driven and agile in learning new technologies.
Must be comfortable and experienced with complex business logic and system integrations.

Hands on experience supporting off-the-shelf or Cloud based SaaS enterprise level applications like Oracle Fusion Cloud, Peoplesoft HCM, Oracle EBS Suite.
Has successfully delivered multiple products end-to-end (with a team) from inception to delivery.
Fluent in writing comprehensive test suites (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to-end).
Knowledge of cloud based systems and deployment models.
Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Service Now.
Knowledge and experience with Agile process.
Formal Project Management and/or Business Analysis skills.
