We bring Public and Private, Civilian and Military expertise to every case. We are hiring a Sr. System Administrator (CBB) to work in Linthicum Heights, MD . Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs. Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph Description: Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality. Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
• Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
• Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
• TS/SCI with a Polygraph

Nice To Haves

• Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
• Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
• Syslog/NxLog
• Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
• Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server issues.

• Deploy applications and tools.
• Assist with escalated customer tickets.
• Installation and cabling of equipment
