About The Position

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to: Design, Code, document and implement new applications as well as existing programs. Contribute to enhancements, and corrections to existing applications codebase. Develop code that adheres to design specifications and meets security standards using C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, or other Microsoft-based development tools. Ensure coding practices follow all security standards, are maintainable, and deliver high system performance. Collaborate with Development & QA staff on individual and team deliverables. Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Conduct code reviews, as requested, to comply with coding standards. Build working relationships with global and virtual teams on software development. Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices, and development methodologies. Work with managers and clients to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes. Assist in scoping and designing analytic data assets, implementing modelled attributes, and contributing to brainstorming sessions. Perform other tasks on R&D, data governance, system infrastructure, analytics tool evaluation, and other cross team functions, on an as-needed basis. Find opportunities to create, automate and scale repeatable analyses or build self-service tools for business users. Execute software engineering projects ranging from small to large either individually or as part of a project team. Ensure project delivery within timelines and budget requirements. Position reports to the employer’s Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Web applications, APIs, Business Logic.
C#, JavaScript, .net, HTML/CSS.
SQL.
Swagger.
Code quality, functional testing, performance testing.
Unit testing, Selenium.
Oracle SQL Developer.
IIS.
Version control systems to collaborate and track code changes (Git).
Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities
