Sr Supply Planner manages the end-to-end supply chain by integrating purchasing with production planning to ensure material availability, optimize inventory levels, and maintain on-time delivery performance. This role utilizes ERP/MRP systems to issue purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and align production schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or inventory control.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Ability to analyze data and translate into actionable supply plans.
  • Self-starter, a team player, result oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and support operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Supplier Management Issue purchase orders and manage supplier commitments to ensure timely fulfillment of material requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and supply reliability.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key metrics such as On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify and resolve supply disruptions, shortages, or delays to minimize operational impact.
  • Communicate demand forecasts and replenishment plans with suppliers to support production planning and inventory availability.
  • Planning & Inventory Management Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand, available capacity, and material availability.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and production performance, proactively identifying and resolving constraints that may impact delivery timelines.
  • Communicate schedule changes, potential risks, and recovery plans to production and management teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance planning, scheduling efficiency, and operational performance.
