About The Position

In the role of Sr. Supply Manager – Transportation working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Procurement team. The Sr. Supply Manager will be responsible for developing and executing Truckload & Intermodal category strategies worth $700 million in spend. You will use strategic sourcing principles including spend analysis, reverse auction, contract management, negotiations and supplier management. This position reports to Category Manager Transportation Procurement and works closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • You have 4 or more years of relevant category experience in Procurement or within the Transportation business function. Category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills
  • You bring management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience.
  • You have experience with Truckload and Intermodal contracting.
  • You have strong communication skills with executive level individuals
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations and implementation activities and ensure contract compliance once agreement is signed
  • Manages category suppliers, including score carding and monitoring KPIs
  • Responsible for project management of multiple RFPs throughout the year
  • Responsible for delivering category results objectives on a national level
  • Manage many supplier relationships (150-250)
  • Manage stakeholders and be able to partner with internal stakeholders to align on company priorities
  • Maintain a cost savings target of $5-10M per year
  • Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for managing category annual operating plan cycle and supporting budget processes
