The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer - Safety Integration plays a pivotal role in the development, qualification, and integration of safety and restraints components (seatbelts, airbags, steering wheels) with interior vehicle parts (instrument panels, center consoles, seats, headliners) sourced from multiple suppliers. This position demands extensive experience in automotive supplier management, safety systems, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of components that meet rigorous safety and performance standards. The role requires strategic alignment, analytical precision, and execution focus in a fast-paced environment. Spearhead the integration of safety components (seatbelts, airbags, steering wheels) with interior systems (instrument panels, center consoles, seats, headliners) to ensure seamless compatibility and compliance with global safety standards (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, Euro NCAP) Define technical interface requirements and specifications in collaboration with design and engineering teams Identify and resolve integration challenges through design reviews, simulations, and risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) Manage critical component development and qualification activities with multiple suppliers, ensuring alignment on quality, cost, and delivery timelines Conduct on-site visits to supplier facilities (domestic and international) to oversee manufacturing processes, validate production readiness, and make on-the-spot critical decisions Drive supplier accountability for resolving integration issues and meeting safety performance targets Provide technical expertise during vehicle program launches and supplier readiness assessments Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
