About The Position

This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes directing coordinating and supporting maintenance personnel; working with contractors vendors or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment; and troubleshooting and resolving new and or different technical problems regarding equipment and maintenance processes. Writing and improving maintenance procedures, JHA's, and PM's. Other Responsibilities: Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA, HACCP, USDA standards and programs are implemented; Department KPI's are met: Instructing and enforcing the use of personal protective equipment; and implementing new ways of improving safety and ergonomics within the facility. Maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management Standards. Team Member development. Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, High/Mid/Low Voltage (AC/DC), Automation/Communication, Motor Controls, Project Management, Conveyors. This position is also responsible for coordinating Team Member schedules handling time and attendance records holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned. This role will be mentoring Jr supervisors and as such it is necessary to maintain a positive attitude and set an example of a growth and innovative mindset, a strong work ethic, demonstrate humility, empathy, Extreme Ownership, and solid sense of accountability, and produce high results.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
  • Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.
  • 3 plus years' experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, High/Mid/Low Voltage (AC/DC), PLC's/Automation, Motors and Motor Controls, Project Management, Conveyors preferred.
  • Elementary computer skills; for example checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.
  • Experience with SAP or other CMMS preferred.
