About The Position

Responsible for controlling and managing activities related to inventory control within the stockroom, receiving, shipping, expediting, dock oversite and training. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures/training material. Troubleshoot and rectify discrepancies and assist Supply Chain and Manufacturing with system flow to ensure consistency and continuous improvement. Coach and grow staff, able to effectively represent Logistics across segments and effectively interact with management. Oversite of stockroom activities to include: ERP/MRP system and process management Kitting, cycle count, annual inventory, product put-away and scrap Provide customer service – interacting with Planners, Buyers, Engineering and Management Fast paced changing environment Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with L3Harris specific Environment Health and Safety policy/procedure regarding material handling (ESD, Optics, fragile) Provide back up for shipping and receiving Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Holds ability to handle items (up to 45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g. pallet jacks, height adjustable carts, etc.) and may operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a stockroom, warehouse and/or production environment
  • HazMat certification a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with Agile/PDM software tools
  • Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other compliance requirements on government contracts
