Requirements

  • Two-year associates degree and/or 3 - 5 years' experience within a data center or fiber hut equipment manufacturing setting, electrical or industrial production preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Good leadership with effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function independently and also work in a team environment.
  • Math aptitude and ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment.
  • Current computer skills, including email, Word and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • High energy level and enthusiasm with the ability to focus on agreed recommendations and results.
  • Action oriented with a bias for action and results.
  • Takes initiative, develops and implements creative and effective solutions to key problems.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety issues related to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production teams, ensuring quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining safety compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and mentor staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance and providing necessary training.
  • Make decisions regarding work priorities based on published schedules and conversations with operations leader.
  • Continuously monitor progress on daily work schedules to assure that production schedules and deadlines are being met.
  • Manage employee attendance and performance, responsible for daily time and attendance for payroll purposes.
  • Ensure all products meet quality required specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain team to ensure raw materials are available for production.
  • Evaluate performance of all employees in terms of safety, quality, productivity and attendance.
  • Maintain authorized staffing levels and initiate appropriate documents to fill vacancies.
  • Communicate regularly with other department supervisors and conduct meetings within the department.
  • Effectively use, understand, and monitor production jobs in Epicor/Vantage business system.
  • Foster harmonious relations within the shift and between shifts.
  • Accountable for safety, productivity, quality, exercising cost control, meeting production schedules, and accurate record-keeping.
