About the position

The Sr. Subcontracts Administrator is responsible for managing the entire procurement cycle for government contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal requirements. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. The position reports to the Director of Contracts and can be based in Alexandria, VA, Lexington Park, MD, or a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cradle-to-grave Subcontract Administration support for Government contracts of various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M).
  • Effective oversight and monitoring of Subcontracts under U.S. Government Contracts.
  • Lead or assist in key negotiations and resolve performance issues.
  • Identify risks and associated mitigations, supporting the development of major proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Federal government requirements.
  • Administration of subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Negotiate Subcontract Agreements including pricing, terms/conditions, and required flow downs.
  • Identify and resolve moderate issues and problems on assigned subcontracts and make recommendations to management.
  • Perform subcontract close-out activities.
  • Negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
  • Create moderate to complex RFP solicitations in accordance with Government and Company requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier proposal responses.
  • Conduct price and cost analysis.
  • Analyze risks and identify risk mitigations.
  • Act as primary interface between subcontractors and the programs being supported for all subcontract-related issues.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge within government contracts and subcontracts arena.
  • Experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.
  • Experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M) and an in-depth understanding of FAR/DFARS.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills, including problem-solving and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team of contract professionals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint site document management.
