About The Position

As a Propulsion Systems Structural Analyst, your will provide insight in the development, test, and certification of propulsion systems for NASA's liquid engine rocket fleet. You will become part of a multi-discipline team with the charter to establish flight rationale for America's next generation of manned launch vehicles. Primary job duties include engaging with engineering and product development teams to provide structural and dynamic insight in propulsion systems, as well as producing independent analytical assessments. You will also provide technical oversight in the design and evaluation of liquid rocket engine elements with particular emphasis on structural/dynamic response of turbomachinery components, as well as processing and interpretation of test data, and utilization of simulation software. In addition, you will develop and deliver reports and presentations, as well as collaborate with vendors and personnel from other NASA centers in the development of integrated flight hardware and related test equipment.
