About The Position

The Sr. Technical Sourcing Manager role operates with a high degree of autonomy and assumes full accountability for overseeing and administering complex Information Technology ("IT") strategic sourcing endeavors, encompassing contract management, project management, supplier management, risk management, and compliance monitoring for an estimated annual expenditure of $50 million. The role demands an exceptional aptitude for collaboration, analysis, and negotiation, engaging extensively with both business unit leadership and suppliers. The ideal candidate demonstrates an unwavering commitment to continuous education, staying ahead of the ever-evolving information technology licensing models introduced by suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, accounting, or supply chain.
  • 8-10 years of work-related experience required.
  • Experience in procurement/strategic sourcing.
  • Preference for candidates who have served as Category Managers.
  • Preference for candidates who have achieved the CPSM certification from the Institute for Supply Management (or equivalent).
  • Candidates who can showcase tangible achievements as an Analyst may also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically analyze agreement opportunities and lead communication efforts to negotiate complex information technology agreements with external stakeholders/suppliers.
  • Achieve highly advantageous financial terms while balancing user requirements, enhancing experience, and mitigating risks.
  • Proactively educate and strongly influence internal stakeholders to embrace these terms.
  • Act as the definitive authority in accepting or rejecting proposed terms from suppliers.
  • Establish contractual controls related to onshore/offshore restrictions, regulatory requirements, and client-imposed obligations.
  • Diligently monitor supplier compliance to safeguard Allied's revenues.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and develop comprehensive short- and long-term strategies for each category of expenditure.
  • Proactively identify changes in the business environment that may impact the company's negotiating position.
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses to identify potential threats to the company and develop robust mitigation plans.
  • Foster and cultivate strong working relationships with business unit leadership.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams to execute IT and IT-related strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with business unit leadership to develop comprehensive RFP and non-RFP project plans.
  • Administer the supplier onboarding process for information technology suppliers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong supplier relationships.
