Due to an internal promotion, we are hiring a Sr Strategic Sourcing Buyer within our Strategic Procurement Team to be based at our corporate offices in either Bloomington or Marshall MN. In this role you will manage our grains sourcing strategy—ideal for someone with a strong background in commodity risk management and supply strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience in a procurement role)
• 4+ years in a role involving buyer/procurement of materials ideally ingredients within the CPG Food Industry
• Proven success in financial hedging, supplier development, and stakeholder engagement
• Strong project management experience to support projects for new products and savings efforts

Responsibilities

• Manage the grain category spend of up to $140m including research, negotiation, contracting, budgeting, and communication to all stakeholders
• Analyze commodity market data and establish hedge strategies to mitigate market volatility
• Develop and implement supplier strategies to ensure quality, continuity, and cost optimization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, R D, and Finance on supply and project related tasks
• Stay ahead of global market trends, supply chain risks, and emerging sourcing opportunities
• Generate productivity and supply efficiency ideas to reduce inflationary pressures
• Create and present strategic reports to senior leadership and key customers
