POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing third party waste disposal and recycling solutions that align with Area operations, inventory control, and P&L goals. The incumbent reviews inbound waste profiles and related documents to provide customers with safe and compliant environmental solutions while minimizing operational costs and driving income. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst also provides bid and pricing support, third party waste shipment analysis, and specific market information on vendors. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES Documents and reviews third party waste profiles for completeness to ensure environmental compliance, health and safety. Drafts and submits waste profiles to approved vendors for review and approval. Identifies potential waste stream problems and suggests alternative treatment and/or recycling options for customers. Analyzes and recommends the use of alternative sources or materials to reduce costs. Assists customers and operations in gathering all required information for third party waste approvals in a timely manner. Recertifies waste streams at various third party locations. Vets waste profiles through all Republic Services and/or its affiliates technologies prior to suggesting third party processing. Supports Sales with third party pricing for bid opportunities and other customer requests. Assists Revenue Management with 3P vendor price book maintenance. Performs market and industry trend analysis, evaluates supply sources, and assists stakeholders in identifying solutions to their needs. Reviews vendor pricing and suggests vendor cost concessions when appropriate. Analyzes and evaluates hazardous waste suppliers. Prepares related reports and provides analysis to senior leadership and internal stakeholders as appropriate. Develops effective management presentation materials based on findings, including professional display of information. Communicates regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of the stakeholder’s business and opportunities and anticipate their needs/requests. Leads multiple projects simultaneously, including process planning and supplier quality improvement efforts. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
