About The Position

The Sr. Strategic Business Consultant at McKesson is responsible for managing and delivering strategic initiatives within the Customer Distribution Experience PMO. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline while achieving focused outcomes. The Consultant will act as a liaison between business partners and vendors, utilizing Agile/SAFe methodologies to enhance project delivery and drive process improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing strategic initiatives, preferably with a process and technology focus.
  • 5+ years of consultative experience in a project management-type role.
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial, consultative, collaborative, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical background to leverage data for business decisions.
  • Ability to build high trust relationships with stakeholders and communicate with senior executives.
  • Utilization of project management methodologies, especially Agile/SAFe.
  • Strong financial and business acumen to create and defend business cases.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Salesforce technology, chatbots, and artificial intelligence.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce technology projects.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Experience in a supply chain organization (distribution/logistics, contact center, inventory, etc.).
  • Proficient in all MS Office products and working knowledge of Visio and project/program management software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of business cases for internal strategic projects aligned with the enterprise vision and business strategies.
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction for all aspects of delivery of a process.
  • Conduct business analysis activities using various methodologies as needed for each project.
  • Develop detailed project plans, implementation schedules, project cost estimates, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Coordinate activities, define deliverables and milestones, and participate in team assignments.
  • Set and control project scope, identify critical paths and dependencies, and manage project risks.
  • Lead the change management process for each project, anticipating change leadership needs.
  • Design, develop, or modify business processes, identifying bottlenecks and capacities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to devise/modify processes to solve complex problems and improve existing processes.
  • Track project issues through resolution during pre- and post-implementation phases.
  • Manage project activities and tasks, monitor processes, and resolve business, IT, and technical issues.
  • Lead all aspects of the project, including requirements identification, analysis, design, development, testing, and training.
  • Manage and monitor project budget and timeline.
  • Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Support improvement of project delivery through process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and business leadership.
  • Collaborate with external vendors on project delivery assessments and initiatives.
