Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise. We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Equity Administration Manager to manage and facilitate all aspects of equity and stock program at Archer. In this key role, the Equity Administration Manager is responsible for oversight of the equity plan administration, in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Human Resources in a fast-paced, high-growth public company. We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes a hands-on approach, and brings experience supporting and scaling equity programs. This role balances day-to-day execution with strategic partnership with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of equity administration experience with Certified Equity Professional (CEP) preferred; public company experience required
  • Extensive skills and experience in working on and maintaining data integrity in a public company equity administration platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on equity plan obligations and work closely with leadership, process owners, business expansion partners, Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, Tax, & Payroll teams
  • Partner with internal and external business partners to research and provide input and recommendations on equity plan initiatives and policies
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures; evaluation, recommendation, implementation, documentation
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as brokers or transfer agents, to manage the transfer and administration of stock awards, including: grant/vest process management and statement generation; ensuring accurate tax withholding on equity awards with Payroll; assisting with Section 16 reporting with Legal; assisting in data preparation for Board of Directors approval; and acting as a central resource for external partner support
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of equity industry trends, vendors, and services available in the marketplace
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders, with a clear, solutions-oriented communication style
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex stock plan matters to employees at all levels
  • Section 16 tracking, reporting, compliance
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience with Fidelity stock plan administration platform
  • Ensure global compliance with equity-related tax withholding and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Play a key role in scaling and evolving equity programs, with high visibility and opportunities for growth as the company continues to expand
  • Stock award data integrity management

Responsibilities

  • Manage all administration aspects of the Company’s global equity programs and employee stock purchase plan
  • Manage all daily and cyclical stock administration processes for grants, vests, terminations, etc. including all necessary reporting requirements
  • Responsible for public company equity requirements, including providing financial data for equity-based tables in the Proxy, 10-Q and 10-K; prepare and timely file all SEC required Forms 3, 4 and 5 for Section 16 Officers
  • Understand and have working knowledge and experience in application of accounting rules associated with stock-based compensation (ASC-718) and provide reports to both Finance and tax functions
  • Perform and coordinate all related tax reporting obligations for the company with regard to stock based compensation
  • Enhance the stock administration function, including improvements in process and implementing automated solutions for scalability
  • Manage the relationship and work closely with outside service providers, such as our equity systems vendor, transfer agent, and broker service providers
  • Develop and maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the equity process
  • Provide employee education and respond to inquiries and requests regarding stock matters
