Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Staff Systems Engineer (Segment Technical Lead) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in San Diego, CA and will report on site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline with 14 years of experience, or a Masters in STEM with 12 years of experience, or a PhD with 10 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks from multiple organizations.
  • Demonstrated broad technical expertise in multiple technology areas across the full systems engineering V.
  • Experience working integration activities.
  • Experience working with Agile constructs as a Product Owner.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with current program access.
  • Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Capture and Basis of Estimate (BOE) experience.
  • Previous Experience as a Sub-IPT or IPT Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) with Operating Unit execution.
  • Leads a team of engineering leads, providing technical leadership, direction, and insight.
  • Accountable for the engineering leads team's solution and Technical Design.
  • Defines initiatives critical to achievement of LRSP objectives in the solution backlog.
  • Serves as the expert on the application of scientific principles across broad technical areas.
  • Collaborates across contracts and Operating Units for integrated technical implementation.
  • Maintains critical external customer contact to understand their technical needs.
  • Aligns technical vision with Operating Unit execution of new Integrated Functional Capabilities.
