About The Position

Our System software architecture team is driving the core math libraries software architecture needed for ML/AI acceleration using CPU and NPU. This position/s will expose you to Qualcomm's cutting edge CPU and NPU features and ML/AI acceleration needed for the industry. Candidate would participate in software architecture, Optimizing the core ML kernels using the latest advancements in ARM architecture features like SME, SVE that enhance the ML models on the CPU of the QCOM SoC. Candidates with 6-10 years of relevant experience & willing to work in San Diego location are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's degree in the same fields and 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD in the same fields and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in developing Math libraries for CPU and NPU.
• Excellent knowledge of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARM ISA.
• Understanding of CPU accelerator ISA for Vector/Matrix Data Processing.
• Understanding of linear algebra functions used in AI/ML Algorithm design.
• Strong programming skills and deep understanding of the ARM ISA.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience with performance evaluation using QEMU, Simulators, Emulators, and on Silicon.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software architecture for ML/AI acceleration.
• Optimize core ML kernels using ARM architecture features.
• Develop math libraries for CPU and NPU.
• Evaluate and optimize performance of applications for ARM architecture.
• Work across multiple teams to define software architecture.
