As a tech leader working with the Data Foundations team you will lead the design and implementation of robust data systems and ML modeling features that power LinkedIn Trust’s AI-driven transformation. This role will ensure that Trust features are reliably accessible, stable, secure, and contextually usable by LLMs and AI agents tasked with investigations, moderation, enforcement, and governance If you're passionate about using engineering to foster trust and safety across a global platform, join our team and help shape the future of trust engineering at LinkedIn! Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
  • 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Ruby, etc
  • 2+ years of experience in an architect or technical leadership position

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years’ experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions with at least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership position
  • 5+ years experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures
  • 10+ years programming experience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C/C++
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures
  • Experience leading by influence, formulating and driving technical strategies across various organizations
  • Experience leading a large organization

Responsibilities

  • You will drive the development of tooling and data aggregation to support LinkedIn Trusts AI efforts, including scalable data systems for real-time detection and enforcement, investigation and moderation agents, and next generation large language model fine-tuning
  • You will work with Trust Foundation leads to develop long-term roadmaps and plans for infrastructure modernization.
  • You will be a role model and professional coach for more junior engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
  • You lead the scaling of distributed systems, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and drive operational excellence.
  • You will build for continuous deployment and robust operations, utilizing unit and integration tests and real-time observability to ensure quality.

  • The pay range for this role is $181,000 - $297,000.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
  • This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
