We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is hybrid and based in our San Jose, CA office three days a week. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • Architecting and implementing cloud management automation and orchestration
  • Extending automation of cloud operations, including upgrades and system updates
  • Creating and deploying scalable monitoring systems
  • Performing cloud operations, deployments, on-call support, and incident management
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with C, Java, GoLang, Python, Terraform, Temporal, Ansible, Python automation, networking, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP
  • Understanding of web security and protocols including HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, SQL, and networking fundamentals
  • Experience in observability, building dashboards, solid understanding of SLI/SLO, error budget, and familiarity with Grafana
  • DevOps skills across CI/CD, SCM, Builds and Releases, Continuous Integration tools and frameworks
  • Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Services and Automated Deployments
  • Ability to resolve escalations and help prevent recurring incidents through process, monitoring, and reliability improvements
