We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Mapping Accuracy Team. The preferred candidate will be located in /near Westminster, CO, on a hybrid schedulde. As a Platform Engineer on the Mapping Accuracy team , you will play a key role in enhancing our infrastructure and automating our deployment processes for software directly related to the mapping and accuracy mission . You will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to streamline our development workflows, improve system reliability, and optimize performance. Candidates with strong software development experience and an interest in Platform Engineering are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or Software Developer
  • P roficiency with Amazon Web Services
  • P roficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • E xperience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Recent experience with Helm, Terraform, Cloud Formation, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with high availability systems and database replication
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and other colleagues
  • Must be U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mapping and geospatial information systems
  • Experience with microservices architectures
  • Experience running Postgres databases on Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
  • Agile experience

Responsibilities

  • Keep our company and customers data safe – Put security first
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our software projects.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for security and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our processes and tools.
