Requirements

• Minimal 5 years experience in Mechanical engineering or equivalent, strong solid mechanics background is a must-have.
• Strong hands on experience in Commercial FEA or FVM software such as ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Icepak or FLUENT
• Mechanical characterization and failure analysis such as bending test, dynamic mechanical analysis, cross section, X ray etc.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Programming skillsets using Python, Matlab for numerical models and data analysis using libraries such as numpy, scipy and pandas is nice-to-have.
• Working knowledge of advanced IC packaging, assembly, qualification, design, signal and power integrity, thermal and power performance - a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, simulate and validate mechanical integrity of microelectronic devices and systems.
• Mechanical simulation to provide structural, BOM, stackup and process recommendation from design, prototype, qualification to production stages, for example, warpage, stress-strain, solder joint reliability
• Material database development and characterization to support advanced microelectronics architecture and materials selection, for example, bending test, static and dynamic mechanical analysis, failure analysis
