Job Summary: PayPal is seeking a talented Senior Staff Machine Learning Scientist join our Global Machine Learning team, driving the development of AI-driven solutions that will shape the future of PayPal. You design and develop ML solutions including personalization, recommendation, and ranking of deals and promotion across our Brands and surfaces. Your goal will be to optimize the customer journey through personalized, thrilling experiences. You will be setting technical direction of team and will be building and defining the next generation shopping discovery recommendation engine leveraging the power of PayPal's two-sided network. Job Description: Your day to day Develop and implement advanced ML frameworks, such as graph neural networks and deep learning models, to solve critical business problems related to recommendation of PayPal products, personalizing product experiences and Shopping Ranking and Recommendations. Design and deploy scalable generative AI solutions as part of the ecosystem. Design and deploy scalable AI solutions that enhance PayPal's ability to provide a seamless customer experience, by working closely with our engineering group and PayPal's Platforms organization. Communicate complex concepts and the results of models and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing partners and customers with your insights and expertise. Shape Architecture and bring alignment across platform teams on MLOPs flows. Influence the Direction of team and bring state-of-the-art to Market

Requirements

Masters degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) with 7+ yrs. of relevant industry experience or PhD with 6+ yrs. of relevant industry experience
Experience in any one of Recommendation/Ranking, Personalization, Search or Ads a big plus
Proficient in Programming languages such as Python, SQL.
Familiarity in relevant machine learning frameworks and packages such as Tensorflow and PyTorch.
GCP/Hadoop and big data experience - an advantage
Experience shipping Realtime models a big plus
Fluent spoken and written English communication with business and engineering partners to exchange requirements, explain solution methodologies, and influence with insight

Responsibilities
