Requirements

  • BS or MS in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in C++.
  • Experience working on image processing for the movie or gaming industry.
  • Experience with performance profiling and engineering to improve it.
  • Proficiencies include: C++, Python, build tools like CMake, version control software like git.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cross-platform (Linux, Windows, MacOS) and cross-architecture (X86 and ARM) development.
  • Experience with GPU programming and highly multi-threaded processing.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with media processing APIs and software constructs.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in computer graphics architecture and systems.
  • Experience with the Halide programming language is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic passion for movies, music, and video games!

Responsibilities

  • Utilize software design and architecture skills to architect, design, and develop content creation tools for movies and user-generated content.
  • Apply image processing experience to develop high-performance imaging tools.
  • Collaborate with Dolby business partners to define content workflows and build software products to achieve these goals.
  • Partner with other Dolby technical and business teams, contributing expertise to company-wide technical strategy and knowledge base.
  • Embody the principles of agile and lean development.
