About The Position
👉 This role is best suited for a senior full-stack engineer with a blend of technical excellence, empathy, and startup adaptability who is looking to make a lasting impact. We’re seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to lead high-level technical initiatives and help scale a complex platform. This senior role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and system-level thinking. The position is open due to growth and will focus on designing resilient, scalable solutions with modern technologies. Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Live in the US (East Coast)
- Strong expertise in Python and Ruby.
- Background in distributed systems, scalable architectures, or marketplace platforms.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong collaborator with empathy and a team-first mindset.
- Preference for candidates who have thrived in startup or high-growth environments (not strictly extensive industry backgrounds).
- Stable career history — not a job hopper.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AI/ML applications or recommendation systems.
- Familiarity with large-scale data processing and compliance standards.
- Strong academic or proven technical background (STEM-focused programs or equivalent expertise).
- Experience with published technical content or conference speaking is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy across key initiatives.
- Build and maintain full-stack applications with Python and Ruby as core technologies.
- Design and implement scalable systems supporting advanced matching and marketplace features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and data, to deliver innovative solutions.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and raise the technical bar across the team.
- Balance technical expertise with a business-first problem-solving approach.
