About The Position

The Sr. Staff Designer for Trust & Privacy will lead the design and strategy for intuitive experiences that foster trust and proactively address any privacy concerns across PayPal and its global subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of fin-tech product nuances, and the complex sensitivities consumers have regarding their personal data – especially in the context of AI-driven data collection – to identify opportunities to instill confidence and alleviate privacy concerns, furthering customer trust in PayPal. This role demands the ability to connect customer and business goals through high-quality craft and compelling storytelling, while staying at the forefront of design, technology, and privacy innovation to deliver transparent customer-centric experiences.

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven success delivering enterprise-scale, cross-platform design solutions.
  • Experience in product design for B2C/B2B products, bonus if the experience is in fintech and/or Privacy and Security domain.
  • Systems thinker able to bridge design, business, and technical needs.
  • Deep knowledge of privacy and data sensitivities, especially in AI contexts.
  • Portfolio showcasing product delivery and forward-looking concept work.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller, influencing at all levels.
  • Passion for design, tech, and privacy innovation with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate clear objectives in enhancing user and customer experiences that deliver results and meet organizational goals
  • Influence decision-making at the senior leadership level
  • Perform the most highly complex digital and physical products and services using domain knowledge and extensive business expertise
  • Develop and deliver innovative strategies that benefit customers and product users
  • Lead major business projects which impact the Experience Design job family
  • Design, evaluate, and select process, product, and service improvements based on thorough understanding of user and customer needs and industry trends
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in user-centered design practices.
