Position Description In this role you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mission critical systems that model the complex data models and business processes that underly the policy lifecycle. If you’re passionate about data modeling and rules-based system development, this is the job for you. We’re looking for leaders with deep technical breadth—from distributed systems and cloud-native architectures to data pipelines and service mesh patterns.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development or solutions engineering experience
  • Recent experience developing or designing software solutions
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple scrum teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong technical background in modern engineering practices
  • Demonstrated experience delivering scalable cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD, Release Management, and SDLC

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to drive the modernization of GEICO’s policy services and systems
  • Influence product vision and collaborate with product teams to deliver solutions aligned with business strategy
  • Champion and instill strong Agile practices to drive team effectiveness, adaptability, and continuous delivery
  • Ensure operational excellence through engineering best practices
  • Coach and mentor team members for high performance and accountability
  • Deliver scalable, cloud-based applications
