Strata-G is seeking an experienced Sr Staff Engineer-Sr Principal Engineer (Civil Engineer) with the following: Summary: This position will provide civil and environmental engineering support to the ORR Landfills, EMWMF and the Transportation Hub, including: 1) Performing Design Change Notifications, Engineering Instructions, Specifications, Calculations and various other engineering and regulatory documents 2) Provide engineering recommendations for new installation and repair of landfill features such as liners, embankments, pavements, bridges, sediment ponds, drainage and erosion control features 3) Oversee design work, land surveys and construction performed by designated craft and subcontractors and 4) Provide technical expertise and direction for procurement of materials and subcontractor work releases.

Requirements

Education: BS in an appropriate engineering discipline from a four-year accredited college or university
Experience: 10+ years of experience required. Professional Engineer License preferred.
Licensed Civil PE
Landfill design and construction experience
Landfill operational experience
Environmental Regulatory requirements and compliance (RCRA, CERCLA, EPA, TDEC, etc.)
Surveying experience
Procurement experience
Subcontractor management experience
Strong CAD skills
DOE Q Clearance

Responsibilities

Prepares engineering products such as: calculations, specifications, scopes of work, analyses, designs and design changes, and engineering reports within the discipline.
May be assigned as Project Engineer, Discipline Engineer, System Engineer, or Cognizant System Engineer.
Follows procedures in the development of engineering products.
May develop engineering products and provide expertise in the engineering discipline commensurate with grade level.
May provide technical support in the areas of operations, maintenance, inspections and tests, and configuration management for assigned systems and components.
Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
Keeps proper engineering files and records.
Applies industry codes and standards in development of engineering products commensurate with grade level.
Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
Complies with company’s safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.
Develops an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company.
Conforms to company core values.
Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others.
