We’re hiring engineers focused on AI Engineering Practices to help our teams harness AI to accelerate development velocity, code quality, and developer experience. As a Sr. Staff Engineer, you’ll operate with a broader organizational scope: shaping how AI is adopted across multiple groups, setting long-term technical direction, and ensuring that platform improvements and tiger team initiatives scale into company-wide practices. You’ll partner with DevOps to advance our developer platform, join tiger teams with product engineers to tackle high-impact codebase refactoring, and drive cross-org alignment on AI adoption strategy. Beyond hands-on contributions, you’ll mentor Staff Engineers, influence technical leaders across squads, and raise the bar for how we use AI to build reliable, scalable systems.

  • Define and drive org-level initiatives that integrate AI into developer experience, platform infrastructure, and engineering workflows.
  • Partner with DevOps leadership to establish a strategic roadmap for AI-enabled platform capabilities.
  • Lead tiger teams in tackling complex codebase refactoring and modernization efforts, modeling effective AI-assisted development practices.
  • Influence cross-org architecture and system design by ensuring AI integration supports scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Identify and institutionalize AI adoption patterns into company-wide standards, frameworks, and tooling.
  • Mentor and coach Staff and Senior Engineers, fostering professional growth and building a strong AI practices community across engineering.
  • Partner with senior engineering and product leadership to align AI adoption with long-term business strategy and technical vision.
  • Act as an internal thought leader, guiding responsible AI use and contributing to the continuous evolution of engineering practices.
  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership with org-wide or company-wide impact.
  • Track record of influencing architecture and technical strategy across multiple groups or domains.
  • Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems at scale.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML tools and APIs (LLMs, code assistants, AI testing tools, etc.) and their practical application to developer workflows.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: backend technologies (Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go), frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Next.js), or mobile (React Native, Swift, Kotlin/Android).
  • Significant experience with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and developer platform tooling.
  • Proven ability to set long-term technical direction, anticipating future growth, complexity, and use cases.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring senior-level engineers and shaping engineering culture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and build cross-org alignment.
