The Site DCS/PLC Engineer is responsible for maintaining the site's DCS and PLC systems. With minimal supervision and much decision-making, the engineer will lead any changes related to the site's basic process control systems (BPCS), both DCS and PLC based systems. Responsibilities include providing troubleshooting for control systems, completing programming changes as required, and leading the site’s alarm management program. The engineer will also develop and implement facility control and automation solutions, manage system architecture and automation network drawings, and ensure system cyber security. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for control system network management and identifying and developing conceptual scopes for improvements in plant process control systems. The role requires participation in the Process Safety Engineering Team to effectively manage the Facility’s SIS safety life cycle phases and support SIS and DCS scope documents as necessary for instrumented Independent Protection Layers (IPLs). Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed.
