Meet the team: The Data Science and Biostatistics team is at the heart of turning complex clinical data into insights that help bring life-changing technology to patients. As a Sr Staff Data Scientist, you’ll collaborate with an exceptional, multidisciplinary group of Biostatisticians, Data Scientists, Statistical Programmers, Clinical Data Managers, and Medical Writers to solve meaningful, real-world problems. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment built for curious, driven individuals who want their work to directly influence innovative medical technology—and ultimately improve lives. Where you come in: You contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data infrastructure for clinical studies and real-world data sources (e.g., EHR), and you lead the research, prototyping, and development of machine learning and AI models aligned to business needs. You lead statistical analysis planning and execution for clinical studies, including study and endpoint design, sample size and power calculations, and the creation and review of statistical analysis plans. You oversee the production and review of tables, figures, and listings, interpret results, and proactively address limitations in study design or statistical methods. You review and provide input on clinical protocols and CRFs, ensuring overall data integrity and high-quality statistical analyses that support abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts. You leverage scientific literature as a research methodology to inform data science approaches, statistical method development, and analyses for clinical studies and real-world evidence. You guide and support junior data scientists and biostatisticians through mentorship, collaborative problem-solving, and knowledge sharing. You provide statistical consultation and thought leadership to cross-functional partners in R&D, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, medical science, and with external collaborators. Requirements

  • You bring strong proficiency in statistical methods, applications, and programming, with experience applying complex statistical techniques to real-world problems.
  • You think strategically and can evaluate and apply the most appropriate analytical or modeling approaches to solve ambiguous and challenging business questions.
  • You are able to work independently and lead clinical data science or biostatistics project teams with minimal oversight, driving work forward from concept through delivery.
  • You have extensive knowledge of advanced data science methods and experience exploring and applying AI/ML techniques to create meaningful business impact.
  • You have a strong working knowledge and hands-on programming experience with SAS, R, and SQL
  • Your excellent communication and collaboration skills enable you to clearly explain complex analyses and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8 – 12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5 – 7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2 -4 years of experience.
