This role also involves mentoring junior team members and analyzing user feedback to inform content strategy and design improvements, ensuring a user-friendly experience. Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications: As a Senior Staff Content Designer on PayPal’s Platforms & Tools team, you'll lead a portfolio of high-complexity workstreams focused on transforming our servicing experiences and self-service journeys. You’ll propose, craft, and guide the creation of solutions to strengthen existing PayPal systems — while envisioning and defining the future of our platforms. You'll mentor and influence Content Designers within Platforms & Tools and across PayPal pillars. And you’ll collaborate closely with teammates across Design, Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, and more.

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years relevant work experience writing and designing for digital products
  • 5+ years experience leading complex projects and programs.
  • Experience navigating complex technologies, sensitive data, and/or highly regulated domains such as financial services, payments, healthcare, or advertising technology.
  • Experience with defining, evolving, and maintaining content standards, such as style and terminology guidelines.
  • Familiarity with localization and accessibility best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Figma or similar standard design tools.
  • Experience or interest in designing with and for generative AI/LLM-based systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, Information Science or related field preferred.

  • Pitch, plan, and craft experiences and interface content for web and app experiences (across all touchpoints including navigation and user interface copy, emails, push, and in-app notifications).
  • Define, present, and align stakeholders on holistic content and design strategies, scalable patterns and frameworks, and detailed language decisions.
  • Set direction and drive execution of complex programs by setting stakeholder expectations, independently prioritizing workstreams and tasks, guiding peers across disciplines, and collaborating across teams.
  • Partner with PM and design leaders on product strategies and narratives, journey mapping, service blueprinting, and UI frameworks.
  • Lead and oversee audits, pitch and shape research studies, and spearhead experimentation programs to gather insights, evaluate solutions' impact, and drive improvements to product experiences.
