As an experienced accountant, you will be responsible for financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for Turbomachinery Domestic operations. You will be the finance point of contact, directly supporting the director of domestic operations. This job will be located in San Diego (Harbor Drive) and requires traveling to Broken Arrow facility (Oklahoma) multiple times a year.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree in accounting or related finance field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Knowledge of tools (mainly excel and Power BI) and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 year of experience
  • CPA or CMA
  • Background in Cost Accounting
  • Have intermediate knowledge in Excel and Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Annual Business Planning for Turbomachinery domestic operations.
  • Coordinate monthly manufacturing variance meetings with VP of Turbomachinery Products.
  • Prepare advanced monthly reports and assist in KPIs preparation.
  • Present financial results to director of domestic operations on monthly basis.
  • Travel to Broken Arrow facilities located in Oklahoma multiple times a year (max 4 times).
  • Lead projects and assist with process improvements.
