Sponsored Research enables and safeguards research activity at America's fastest-rising university, the University of South Florida. Offering a multitude of services including proposal development, pre and post-award administration, financial compliance, and risk management, coupled with specialized training, credentialing, and outreach, Sponsored Research strategically balances the university's mission, the sponsor's objectives, and the investigator's pursuits. This is a senior-level position in the Sponsored Research office with responsibility for negotiating, extending, administering, terminating, renegotiating, and monitoring a high volume of complex, inter-disciplinary, and multi-institution grant contracts and sub-contracts. This position is also responsible for assisting departmental contacts such as faculty, Principal Investigators (PIs), and administrative staff with the proposal preparation and development of large, complex projects, multi-line and category budget projections and justifications, and interpretation of agency/sponsor guidelines and regulations as they apply to specific scenarios on these types of complex projects. This position assists the departments and colleges in complying with various grant administration policies, procedures, rules and regulations. This position is differentiated from the SRA II position by managing a workload of increased complexity, serving as a backup to the Assistant Director, and assisting with the training of Sponsored Research Administrators.
