About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Specialist Supplier Quality Engineer to join and support our Quality Supplier team at our Redmond, WA facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver’s license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Planners, Program Quality Engineers, and Receiving Inspection to resolve supplier issues.
  • Visit suppliers and perform product acceptance of electrical assemblies.
  • Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met.
  • Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages.
  • Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management.
  • Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes.
  • Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating.
  • Visit suppliers to review technical, quality and other contractual requirements and ensure the supplier has an adequate understanding to develop a plan to meet all the requirements.
  • Review the suppliers' plans for adequacy and ensure all requirements are met. This includes, pre-award, post award, manufacturing readiness and other periodic reviews as requested.
