About The Position

This position will be responsible for maximizing optimum USDA grade application and merchandising of beef carcasses. Duties will include but not limited to proper merchandising and the selling and pricing of all beef carcasses produced at the facility with attention to optimizing product mix, managing departmental costs, shrink loss claims, and satisfying internal and external customer needs while maintaining focus on corporate profits. This position will be responsible for accurate grading camera and reporting of issues. Also the individual will be expected to work closely with scheduling to manage PA and plant inventories. This position also requires the ability to work across departmental lines such as Operations, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Cattle Procurement to achieve departmental and corporate goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent; broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field.
• 5 plus years of prior carcass merchandising experience required.
• Meat judging experience is a plus.
• Basic Microsoft PC systems knowledge; knowledge of plant operating systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and capable of independent process improvement thought.
