About The Position

As a Senior Specialist, Global Procurement - R&D you will be a key player in the successful delivery of R&D projects which enable our business growth and fuel our global supplier relationships. You will support the procurement process on a project specific basis, including requirements gathering and contract execution by working closely with stakeholders and suppliers. Your ability to negotiate, manage supplier relationships and monitor the supply chain will be critical to the success of Regeneron's continued investment in research programs which bring life changing medicines to our patients. As a Senior Specialist in Global Procurement, a typical day may include: Supporting the definition and implementation of the Global Category strategies to serve global and regional business needs as assigned. Working closely with stakeholders to support discussions related to the Global Clinical Categories and aligning category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders. Supporting negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Global Clinical Categories as assigned. Helping to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities. Participating in organizational decisions in the Global Clinical categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team. Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable. Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
  • Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems preferred (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other).
  • Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry.
