About The Position

As a Sr. Specialist, Procurement & Allocation you will perform duties related to procuring product and allocating outbound to retail. You will manage our Fixed Replenishment program, oversee our Cross Dock, SPTS and Non-compliance programs, and execute inter-company transfers and donations. Requirements

• 3 to 5 years procurement or allocation experience
• Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain or related field
• Allocations & Replenishment software
• Excellent Communication skills
• Ability follow up and problem solve
• Proven track record for meeting all deadlines and deliverables
• Highly skilled at multi-tasking with effective organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review daily fixed replenishment orders and reports to ensure efficient and timely placement of purchase orders to our vendor partners; own the buying for select group of venders for full procurement view.
• Maintain open communication and information exchange related to fixed replenishment with information systems, merchandising, distribution and logistics.
• Collaborate with category/buyer teams to analyze impact of procurement initiatives and recommend actions for continuous improvement.
• Maintain vendor and item specific details, including order schedules, delivery schedules and order increments to support accurate fixed replenishment orders.
• Perform ongoing assessments of procurement initiatives which includes measurement of inventory levels, service levels (both vendor and warehouse), incentive metrics and transportation costs.
• Prepare detailed merchandising analytics to support procurement/supply chain initiatives.
• Assist in implementing procurement initiatives.
• Assist Merchandising Supply Chain and Procurement with ensuring quality of data required for procurement analysis and actions.
• Review and monitor the inbound and outbound of all Cross Dock and SPTS orders for uninterrupted service to retail.
• Oversee Giant Eagle's Non-compliance policy that utilizes Traverse Systems. Coordinate all supplier correspondence and system maintenance to ensure accurate charges.
• Accurate execution of allocations/distros to retail.
• Coordinate all inter-company transfers and donations to outside agencies.
• Ensure smooth flow of all inbound and outbound product.
