AT&T is looking for a Sr Special Member of Technical Staff on our Network Analytics and Automation team based in Dallas, TX. In this role, you’ll model and prototype analytics & automation solutions that enhance network efficiency, reduce operational costs, and power the analytics engine for new service offerings. You bring experience in cloud compute, data science and AI systems, and next-generation wireless access and mobility network management. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners to drive automation and innovation by creating AI rApps and developing GenAI network diagnostics and enabling service assurance of VoNR, Turbo, SA/slicing, etc. What you’ll do: Modeling and Prototyping Analytics & Automation Solutions: This involves conceptualizing, developing, and refining machine learning models tailored for analytics and automation within the network infrastructure. It requires a hands-on approach to data analysis, model development, and iterative testing to ensure the solutions are efficient and effective. Prototyping is a crucial step here, as it allows for testing concepts in a controlled environment before full-scale deployment. Cloud Compute, Data Science, and AI Systems: Working with cloud computing platforms to deploy and manage analytics and AI systems is a key part of the day. This involves setting up cloud-based environments for data processing and machine learning workloads, optimizing resource usage to balance cost and performance, and ensuring data security and compliance. The role also requires staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and AI technologies to enhance the analytics capabilities continuously. Next Generation Wireless Access and Mobility Network Management: This aspect focuses on integrating the latest wireless access technologies (such as 5G and Open RAN) with mobility network management practices. Tasks include monitoring network performance, identifying areas for improvement in coverage and capacity, and leveraging AI and ML insights for strategic decision-making. Understanding the technical specifications and operational challenges of next-generation wireless technologies is crucial to effectively manage and optimize the network.
