About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Process Safety Management (PSM) Manager to join our expanding facility in Camden, AR. You will be responsible for leading and managing our company's process safety initiatives and programs. Key duties include developing and implementing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.Ultimately, the PSM Manager’s role is to ensure our workplace complies with all safety and health standards, and that our staff is sufficiently trained on safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.
  • Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Process Safety Manager or similar role in a related field.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections.
  • Expereince in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP, CIH).
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
  • Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
  • BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA’s) as well as being the engineering point person for explosive safety considerations.
  • Conduct analysis of processes for explosive safety, generate technical reports and present those in formal settings.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Perform risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop reports outlining findings.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions for employees and managers.
  • Monitor the implementation of safety initiatives and programs.
  • Provide guidance and advice on technical and process safety issues.
  • Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place.
  • Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.
