About The Position

The Sr, Specialist, Government & External Affairs leads Arizona state and local engagement—especially in Pinal County and Queen Creek by monitoring policy developments, managing key government relationships, supporting permitting and utility-related projects, and coordinating risk and issue management across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in government affairs, external affairs, public policy, regulatory engagement, economic development, or related roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. political institutions, including state, county and municipal processes.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with state and/or local officials; Pinal County and/or Town of Queen Creek experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing and briefing skills; ability to translate policy and stakeholder developments into operational and project implications.
  • High integrity and strong compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Policy & Legislative Intelligence
  • Monitor federal and Arizona legislative/regulatory developments and analyze implications for business continuity and operations
  • Provide practical guidance for permitting and strategic decisions
  • Leverage hands-on experience with state political and legislative environment
  • Monitor and navigate state-level policy and legislative activity, expand networks
  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement (Arizona)
  • Maintain relationships with key Arizona state and local stakeholders
  • Focus on host jurisdictions: Pinal County & Town of Queen Creek
  • Support long-term partnership building and alignment on key issues
  • Risk Anticipation & Issue Management
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities (policy, permitting, community, operations)
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to align messaging and mitigate risks
  • Support timely resolution of external-facing issues
  • Project Management & Coordination
  • Support government-facing aspects of infrastructure, utility, and permitting projects
  • Track public-sector dependencies with structured documentation
  • Provide escalation and coordination to protect cost, schedule, and compliance
  • Cross-Cultural & Executive Support
  • Serve as a bridge between U.S. stakeholders and global leadership in South Korea
  • Deliver concise updates and well-framed options for decision-makers
  • Represent the company professionally in high-visibility settings
