The Aircraft Ground Support Equipment Technician/Logistics Support Specialist will be primarily responsible for servicing, inspecting and repairing assigned vehicles, powered and non-powered AGE to include hydraulic, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. As an AGE technician, responsibilities will cover roughly 130 pieces of AGE equipment for our user and mission. A secondary responsibility will be supporting program logisticians in the receiving, stocking, issuing and inventorying aircraft LRU’s, consumables and support equipment. Inspection and verification of material received to ensure the correct certification paperwork is included with the material. Accomplish required paperwork and entry of information into an inventory software program. Know how to research parts and material using government, military and commercial technical orders and publications. Audit configuration of selected LRU’s and update database. Be able to package and crate material for shipment. Coordinate shipment of outgoing material with transportation vendors. Occasional overtime along with dayshift, swing shift and rotating on-call for nights and weekends are required. Can work in a demanding environment. The candidate should have a working knowledge of a warehouse to include the following: • Periodic inventory • Hazmat inventory control regulations/warehousing • Equipment calibration program • Bench stock program
