Charles Schwab's Retail Strategy is the internal management consulting group for the Retail business, which is the primary business unit at Schwab and has 13,000 employees worldwide. Retail Strategy serves as a trusted adviser to the head of the Retail business and the Retail Leadership Team and works on strategic and operational issues at the top of senior management's agenda. Our team of roughly 15 professionals is a premier pipeline for diverse and high potential talent, and alumni include senior leaders across the entire firm. Retail Strategy serves three primary functions: 1) assisting with strategic decisions for the Retail Leadership Team, 2) drive strategic finance and planning mandate for Retail, and 3) supporting the executive operations and reporting needs of the Retail Leadership Team. This opening is for a generalist function covering all three functions mentioned above. Typical projects include growth strategy, market assessment and entry evaluation, cost savings, investment planning, partnership model assessment, operating model / organizational design, and executive operations and reporting. We are seeking a Senior Specialist who will drive high priority strategy projects. As a Senior Specialist, you will have the opportunity to refine your problem solving, communication, and leadership skills in an environment of mentorship and coaching. You will work alongside dynamic, motivated, and intellectually curious colleagues from top consulting firms and leading undergraduate and MBA programs. You will cultivate strong relationships with business leaders across the firm to drive strategic alignment and support the transition from recommendation to implementation, gain visibility within the firm's senior leadership, and advance to other roles throughout the company. This position benefits from minimal travel and a hybrid work environment.
