Join a dynamic team at the intersection of research, technology, and innovation. As a Senior Specialist, you'll serve as a trusted technology consultant to research teams, helping them onboard, navigate, and optimize their digital tools and scientific equipment. You'll also contribute to engineering efforts in our Makerspace, supporting rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and automation projects. In addition, you'll mentor junior staff and interns, fostering technical growth and collaborative problem-solving across the team.   • Act as a concierge for research teams, building relationships and identifying opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Onboard and integrate scientific equipment into institutional networks, enabling seamless data flow and storage.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate data transfers and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including application catalog records and knowledgebase articles.
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers (Stratasys PolyJet and Prusa FDM).
  • Support innovation efforts through CAD design, anatomical model segmentation, and building physical prototypes.
  • Contribute to robotic automation and embedded systems development (Arduino, ESP32).
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in enterprise application support, IT service desk, or similar OR
  • High school diploma or associate degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong IT, networking expertise
  • CAD design and 3D modeling
  • Experience with FDM or PolyJet 3D printing
  • Experience with electronic prototyping platforms and microcontrollers
  • Experience with robotic automation and rapid prototyping
  • Prior experience working in a Makerspace environment
