About The Position

The Senior EHS Specialist is a member of the Product Stewardship team under GSE (Global Safety and the Environment). The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise and technical knowledge in Safety Data Sheet authoring tools and EHS data maintenance in SAP, working knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS), Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulations and ability to lead and manage projects.

Requirements

  • Detailed working knowledge of Hazard communication and Labelling.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three - five years of experience in SDS Authoring, Labelling, and using EHS module tools in SAP.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Global Business processes and capabilities in SAP EHS within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Proficient in using SDS authoring tools, EHS transaction codes, specification creation, phrase maintenance, material assignment and EHS data build (Labeling and Composition data) in SAP.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Hazard Communication regulations, hazard classifications, CLP Regulations and SDS/Label requirements.
  • Demonstrate behavior such as adaptability, teamwork, accountability, and flexibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Authors.
  • Assign routine workload, project activities and monitor project metrics.
  • Provide support related to Regulatory updates as required.
  • Support the business in managing product and intermediate SDSs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support sites in managing vendor SDSs and Management of Change.
  • Create and maintain EHS Data in SAP (specification, material assignment, GHS labels, others) for SAP materials.
  • Support SAP Go-Live EHS activities/trainings and participate in preparation workshops.
  • Build/create EHS data required for test environments and Production.
  • Manage SAP security role approvals for new employees or existing employees who need new/updated roles.
  • Review and maintain SAP-EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guidance Instructions.
  • Support EHS Product Stewardship related projects and work in collaboration with team members.
