About The Position

As the Sr . Space Management Analyst , you’ll lead cross-functional partners in the development and execution of merchandising solutions that drive business results and position Best Buy as a market leader. You will influence and educate cross-functional partners on the effective use of shelf and space optimization. You will be responsible for delivering assortment recommendations and category insights by leveraging product performance, customer demographic data, and industry trends. You will drive organizational efficiency by adhering to transition timelines, as well as supervising up to three analysts. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with product merchandising
  • 2 years of experience in space management, category management, visual merchandising, or store design
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel formulas/pivot tables, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, retail merchandising or marketing
  • JDA Intactix and/or other space management software
  • Budget & labor allocation experience

Responsibilities

  • Assign store specific product assortments by managing planogram versions that impact inventory investments, replenishment, and enable supply chain flexibility.
  • Accountable for defining transition scope and allocating store merchandising team labor throughout the year to ensure the execution of products, graphics and displays.
  • Synthesize data, conduct analysis, and make recommendations to ensure product facings, capacity, and item placement meet performance and inventory targets.
  • Deliver planogram solutions that align assortment goals with the company merchandising strategy.
  • Partner across teams to execute effective assortment transitions, impactful department resets, and iconic product launches.
  • Drive adherence to transition milestones to enable forecasting, replenishment, and delivery of inventory and merchandising parts.
  • Actively engaged in the team’s performance management process including development and career planning
