About The Position

Join GE Vernova in shaping MRO category strategy across North America. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead sourcing strategy across a broad portfolio of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) categories, build strong supplier and stakeholder partnerships, and help drive meaningful business results. In this role, you will lead regional category strategy, supplier management, master service agreements, and supplier performance initiatives while partnering closely with global category teams and cross-functional stakeholders. You will play a key role in advancing strategic sourcing initiatives, aligning regional execution with global priorities, and delivering total cost efficiency (TCE) without compromising service, quality, or operational support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management
  • 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience within the MRO Commodity category spend group
  • Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies within the assigned category spend
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
  • Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
  • Manage claims.
  • Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
  • Serves as best practice/quality resource.
  • Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
  • Manage corporate sourcing process end-to-end, including hedging strategy, trigger points within the assigned category spend
  • Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects within the assigned category spend
  • Drive best practices, measure and track internal performance, monitor strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization, and drive value through supplier relationship management within the assigned category spend
  • Lead development of best-in-class analytics specifically related to the assigned category spend
